Tasos Dousis and IKONES travel to the “city of a thousand colors”, the unique Xanthi!
They discover the unique architecture and beauty of Xanthi’s mansions by walking through the city’s cobblestone alleys. They also show us what some of them are like inside, such as the Kougioumtzoglou Mansion, the “jewel” of Xanthi’s Old Town.
They then visit Porto Lagos; the lakeside and at the same time seaside village with flamingos and the floating monastery, as well as Avdira; the historic town of Xanthi prefecture.
Tasos Dousis and his team reach the balcony of the Nestos Observatory to admire the breathtaking view. They are also amazed by the captivating beauty of the river and the Livaditis waterfall.

Tasos Dousis and the ICONES travel to the “lady and lord of Thrace”, the unique Xanthi!
They take us on a tour of the “heart” of the new city of Xanthi and the atmospheric alleys of the Old Town, where they introduce us to the house of Manos Hadjidakis and “The House of Shadows”, one of the strangest museums in the world. Of course, they do not forget to go shopping and stroll in the famous Xanthi bazaar.
Then they take a trip to the beautiful Nestochoria, such as the picturesque Stavroupoli and the village of Komnina, where they admire beautiful wild horses.
Tasos Dousis and his team visit the “eagles’ nests” of the Xanthi prefecture, the famous Pomakohoria. In the village of Myki they discover that the women hold fast to traditions, in Thermes they discover the thermal baths, in the village of Medusa they admire the arched bridge, while in the bordering village of Kottani they are amazed by the view and the village's famous tavern.

484 days, over 20,400 photographs,
and endless hours of location finding are some of the ingredients that made Xanthi round & around a reality.
A project that started almost as a test and ended up becoming perhaps the longest timelapse video
for the prefecture of Xanthi and the surrounding area.
From the beach of Mangano to the peak in Imera, from the snow-capped mountains on the road to Stavroupoli
to Lake Vistonida and from the village of Sminthi to the D of Nestos in Erasmio, the video does not go to
predetermined destinations, on the contrary it travels in the law recording the beauty of our natural heritage
in combination with the various weather phenomena that occur during the 4 seasons of the year.
It was an experience that helped me observe, see and appreciate much more the nature that we are lucky to have around us and that unfortunately in many areas our fellow humans continue to destroy in the worst way.
Of course, on such a trip I was not alone, on the contrary, there were people who were almost always by my side
regardless of the weather conditions or the location and it would be impossible not to thank them for being there
even as company.
